Bringing Eco Education to Ireland in a Fun Positive Way !!

E-mail Print PDF

Hi everybody,

I’m really hoping to network with a lot of people around Ireland to promote Eco-Education here in Ireland..Education For Sustainability of Transition Town Kinsale really want to bring  these
guys to Ireland after hearing Klaus (our colleague on the Transition Town
Kinsale Steering Commitee) rave about them after he saw them at Transition
Conference in London UK.I’ve seen Klaus  use some of their techniques
already at our recent Transition Gathering with great success and hilarity. So
now I’m in contact with them via skype and email to see if we can organise them
coming over here to work with Transition and other environmental groups in Ireland.

Read below for further details on their wonderful work.

Moving Sounds are an imaginative group who work with Transition
communities all over the UK doing workshops on causes and consequences
of climate change and the broader ecological issues in a fun, positive,
entertaining and often hilarious way.So wouldn't it be great if we availed of them over here too?
Moving Sounds
An example of one of their workshops would be a musical story-telling
workshop about 'How to Make the Best World Imaginable'. They have a new
show aimed at teenagers consisting of video footage, live
performance, rap, electronic and live music and some clowning. This work
has been inspired by Joanna Macy Eco-Philosopher.

They offer training for teachers, communities, businesses and for organisations. They create tailor-made workshops aimed to meet the
needs of your organisation or a particular event. They can do workshops in schools or for Transition Town Groups, etc our only limit to how we can avail of Moving Sounds is our imagination. They are very flexible and they bring a lot of fun to their work.
They are very kindly willing to negoitate with us on prices, considering the current financial climate here in Ireland.
