E-mail Print PDF

The application for grant funding for a community Anaerobic Digester is ready to go to West Cork Development Partnership, and the good news is that both the Irish Bioenergy Association, and CIT are to be involved, adding considerable credibility to the application.

The first full meeting of the Transition Town Energy Group is now set for Weds April 29th at 7pm in Actons Hotel.

All Welcome.

For anyone (like me) who hasn't seen an anaerobic digester lately, here's a picture of one on a farm, which is similar in scale to the one that would save Kinsale a lot of money, and produce just the most exquisite compost.

This week West Cork Leader have indicated that a 90% grant could be available for the feasibility study required as the next step to building a community anareobic digester for Kinsale. Great news, and thanks to those who have contributed to date, especially Vicky Heslop, President of the Irish Bioenergy Association. www.irbea.org  . If you have any suggestions about this project, please send us an email.
