Allotments Update

Some excellent news just in on the Kinsale allotments front. A local
farmer is setting aside a field for allotments just outside Kinsale -
cross the 'new bridge' and it's the first entrance on the left after
the turn off for Sandycove.

If you are interested in renting a plot, call Mairead before Friday
11th April (after that date they will use any unused land for sowing
barley). Her number is: 087 6316625. I understand there is still
enough land for about 20 plots. Each plot is €100 for 11 months for 200m sq. which is an excellent deal.

From what I have heard, the land is good, though may need added
nutrition, is on a south facing slope and the farmer will be putting
in various facilities such as a water supply etc. It sounds like a
great opportunity.

In TTK's continuing search, after Cork County Council informed us that
they have no land available, the Sisters of Mercy on Compass Hill are

considering a recent request by us. Fingers crossed!
